Breaking News: New Pixar Films Announced!
Disney•Pixar has just announced their upcoming film slates in this press release!Pixar’s release schedule is as follows:
June 27, 2008 – WALL•E (Andrew Stanton)
May 29, 2009 – Up (Pete Docter/Bob Peterson)
October 2, 2009 – Toy Story in 3-D (John Lasseter)
February 12, 2010 – Toy Story 2 in 3-D (John Lasseter)
June 18, 2010 – Toy Story 3 in 3-D (Lee Unkrich)
Summer 2011 – Newt (Gary Rydstrom)
Christmas 2011 – The Bear and the Bow (Brenda Chapman)
Summer 2012 – Cars 2 (Brad Lewis)

A rugged and mythic Scotland is the setting for Pixar’s action-adventure "The Bear and the Bow." The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father’s kingdom and her mother’s life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right. Up To Be Released in 3-D!
Disney just announced today at ShoWest that Up will be released in Disney Digital 3-D. Up is scheduled to hit theater on May 29, 2009.[via ComingSoon.net]

Toy Story 3 in 3-D coming to theaters June 18, 2010!
"The Walt Disney Studios is taking the latest advances in digital 3-D technology "to infinity and beyond" with ambitious plans to debut new Disney Digital 3-D(TM) versions of Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story" on October 2nd, 2009, and "Toy Story 2" on February 12th, 2010, it was announced by Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios. Both of these beloved animated features are being newly converted to 3-D in advance of the June 18th, 2010 release ofDisney-Pixar's "Toy Story 3," which is being produced as a 3-D motionpicture and will represent the state-of-the-art for the genre. Veteran Pixar filmmaker Lee Unkrich (co-director "Toy Story 2") is directing."

Toy Story 3 in 3-D?
Yahoo News tell us that Toy Story 3 is rumored to be released in 3-D. "Walt Disney Co. has released 3-D versions of three animated films and recently signed a deal with Zemeckis to produce more. The studio is also rumored to be making the sequel "Toy Story 3" in 3-D, a report the studio declined to confirm."
In March Brad Bird talked about Pixar looking into 3-D.
Brad said:
Toy Story 3 will hit theaters in 2010. Will just have to wait and see if it will be released in 3-D.
