First of all the WALL•E soundtrack has a new album cover.
There is a new WALL•E vignette out called WALL•E and the Bouncy Balls. (watch it below)
There is yet another video of the animatronic WALL•E, this time he visited the Your Morning studio (watch this video below as well)
Finding Nemo will air on ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney" Saturday, June 7th from 8:00-11:00 p.m., ET. with a sneek peek of WALL•E during the movie.
Victor Navone tells us at his blog that the Pixar wrap party for WALL•E is tomorrow night! (June 1st)
The GAMES section of the official WALL•E website is now up and running with 2 new games. The games are called Space Escape and WALL•E's Treasure Round•Up.
WALL•E has officially been given a G rating by the mpaa and you heard it here first that WALL•E has an official runtime of 1 hour 37 minutes and 43 seconds.
You also heard it here first that Presto has an official runtime of 5 minutes and 14 seconds.
Once again you heard it here first that instead of getting an Up teaser trailer in front of WALL•E I am told that we will be seeing a teaser trailer for Disney’s Bolt instead. I'm very upset with that.
Thanks for the above video peetah!

Breaking News: New Pixar Films Announced!
Pixar’s release schedule is as follows:
June 27, 2008 – WALL•E (Andrew Stanton)
May 29, 2009 – Up (Pete Docter/Bob Peterson)
October 2, 2009 – Toy Story in 3-D (John Lasseter)
February 12, 2010 – Toy Story 2 in 3-D (John Lasseter)
June 18, 2010 – Toy Story 3 in 3-D (Lee Unkrich)
Summer 2011 – Newt (Gary Rydstrom)
Christmas 2011 – The Bear and the Bow (Brenda Chapman)
Summer 2012 – Cars 2 (Brad Lewis)
From the Academy Award® nominated team of director Pete Docter ("Monsters, Inc.") and co-director Bob Peterson comes "Up," a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) in summer 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer — look "Up."
What happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can’t stand each other? That’s the problem facing Newt and Brooke, heroes of "newt," the Pixar film by seven-time Academy Award® winner for sound Gary Rydstrom, and director of Pixar’s Oscar-nominated short, "Lifted." Newt and Brooke embark on a perilous, unpredictable adventure and discover that finding a mate never goes as planned, even when you only have one choice. Love, it turns out, is not a science.
A rugged and mythic Scotland is the setting for Pixar’s action-adventure "The Bear and the Bow." The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father’s kingdom and her mother’s life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right. Director Brenda Chapman ("The Prince of Egypt," "The Lion King") and the storytelling wizards of Pixar conjure humor, fantasy and excitement in this rich Highland tale. It’s voice talent is as follows: Reese Witherspoon, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson.

WALL•E at WonderCon Report!
Peter from /film was at WonderCon for the WALL•E session today. Peter has posted a report about the session and has also provided descriptions of all 4 clips shown during the session. (Spoiler Waring!)
During the WALL•E session Andrew Stanton confirmed that John Raztenberger will appear in WALL•E playing a character called John.
The Pizza Planet Truck will also make another cameo appearance in a Pixar film. Stanton told fans to look for it in the first 20 minutes of the film. I bet that the truck will be in one of the pile of garbage.
Also there is a possibility that WALL•E could be released in Disney Digital 3-D, although, he said, “We’re not planning for 3-D, but you never know. It can always be done in the post(-production) process.”

Here is a clip from the session.

JCoM News! Stanton is Directing!
This past Tuesday morning the Pixar creative team explored the massive Edgar Rice Burroughs archives in the ERB, Inc. offices on Ventura Blvd in Tarzana, CA.
Pixar's Jim Morris (Producer of JCoM), Andrew Stanton (Director of JCoM), Mark Andrews (Writer of JCOM) discussed the John Carter of Mars film project with Burroughs representatives, Danton Burroughs, Sandra Galfas and Jim Sullos.
All six members at the meeting expressed a deep commitment to the project, acknowledging that they had been inspired by Burroughs' creations from a very early age. This is evidenced in the excitement held for the John Carter property and the plans for a film trilogy faithful to the Burroughs books. Projected release date is sometime before 2012.
Danton Burroughs presented the creative team with a wealth of resources, including art samples and books by ERB scholars such as Irwin Porges and John F. Roy. They noted that their major resource to date had been the thousands of official ERB, Inc. WebPages and Webzines.

Stridin' With The Stanton!
Mitch from Pixar Planet sent me her report of recent seminar hosted by Andrew Stanton! As far as Toy Story was concerned, Mr. Stanton mentioned that it was hard for he and his fellow coworkers to develop the characters so that they and their personalities were likeable and convincing to the audience. They actually had to "tone down" certain characters' demeanors and such, actually."

IGN Interviews Andrew Stanton!
This interview is very cool, it reconfirms that Thomas Newman is scoring WALL-E, and it also says that WALL-E will come out May 2008, but I doubt that's true. Do take a read.

Andrew Stanton To Direct "A Princess of Mars" Next?
According to a post on the Blue Sky Disney blog, the writer of the blog mentions that after the Disney/Pixar panel at Comic-Con this year, he got a confirmation from one of his Disney animation friends that A Princess of Mars will be Andrew Stanton’s next film. A Princess of Mars Is from the John Carter of Mars series.
This does seem to be true to me as Pixar hasn’t really started production on the film from what I understand and it would make sense as Pixar is waiting for their director to finish up on what he is working on right now (WALL-E). If this is true as I’ve said before I expect this film to be released in theaters in 2012.
A few months ago IESB.net reported that John Carter of Mars (A Princess of Mars) is going to be a mix of live action and animation "working together to bring the story to life".
So there you have it, it looks like Stanton will follow Bird into the live action realm.

WALL•E Clip In-Depth Report!
Spoiler Starts!
It opened with a downshot of Wall-E on top of a vehicle, sleeping. Some lights come on and the Apple Power On chime sounds as Wall-E wakes up (a funny Mac nerd reference) and starts off towards the heaps and heaps of junk. Wall-E and his vehicle are on top of a broken up freeway near a city, and there is atmosphere and gas everywhere. Wall-e departs off of his vehicle and we see he is followed around by a cock roach. Wall-e enters the vehicle for a moment and, upon leaving, accidently squishes the roach. It jumps up and cries in surprise, then leans down to see whether or not he killed what is clearly his friend. After a pause, it springs back up, and Wall-e scolds the bug, pointing at it to keep out of his way.Wall-e then starts his rounds, compacting most junk into squares. But he doesn't do this for everything - he searches the garbage trying to find any trace of anything unusual or interesting. He picks up a ping pong paddle with a string and plays with it (accidently hitting himself in the head repeatedly with it), finds a wedding ring case and throws away the diamond ring, finding the case much more interesting. Everything else, he compacts into a square and piles it neatly in a pile. When lifting through one bunch, he notices a small plant, and crouches down to take a look..He uproots the plant and places it into a jar very carefully. But as he's doing this, he notices a small red dot that appears on the ground (like a laser pointer dot). The dot dances around and Wall-e follows in pursuit. We see, though, unawares to Wall-E, that the one dot is being trailed by a huge circle of similar dots to the one he's chasing. Then, a space ship comes down right on top of him, shooting its rockets down into the ground. The world is melting around him and Wall-E frantically digs down into the ground to get away from the heat.We then see a closeup of the molten rocks left behind. After a pause, we see Wall-E poke his hands through the surface, and his head pops up. He looks around, and we see the spaceship unfolding, as it drops down EVE, who is asleep and unmoving. Wall-E rolls up to it, pokes it, and it wakes up, causing him to jump and hide. We then see EVE turn on, and that's the end...
Spoiler Ends!
Hope you enjoyed that!

Update - WALL•E Report From Comic-Con '07!
Ben Burtt in the front, and Andrew Stanton in the back.
Taking part in the panel was director Andrew Stanton. He showed a new Pixar logo featuring WALL•E coming out and helping Luxo in the logo. Stanton started out by showing an industrial commercial featuring the WALL•E robots and describing his functions. It's by the company "Buy N Large" and showed a web address for the company, BuyNLarge.com, which is now live.
Andrew then discussed the plot while concept art scrolled by. In the future, humans have completely trashed the planet with rampant commercialism. They then leave the planet on space liners while robots are left behind to clean up the planet. Unfortunately, 700 years go by and they never return. Eventually one robot, WALL•E, develops a personality. As he roams the planet, he eventually finds a way to get off the planet. He then finds the last remaining space liner containing the 'lost tribe' of humans. However, years in space with all their needs covered by robots have made them literal couch potatoes. They are huge, helpless blobs. Along the way WALL•E also meets and falls in love with another robot named Eve. WALL•E attempts to woo her, but his efforts just might be what ends up restoring the human race to its former glory.
Next up, Stanton introduced "Star Wars" veteran Ben Burtt, who is doing sound design on the film. He played samples of the various robots sound effects then showed animation samples of the robots. We saw WALL•E, Eve, a sidekick hygienic droid named M-O, and Auto who is the auto pilot of the space liner. Burtt revealed that Eve is a probe droid that is held together by magnetic fields. She also features a few special functions and weapons. M-O is an obliterator droid that rolls around on a track ball.
The audience then got to be the first to see footage from the film. We see WALL•E, back on Earth, preparing for another day at work. He's followed by his pet cockroach as he leaves his makeshift house. As he sorts through the human's garbage, he picks out objects that interest him – a bra, a jewelry box, a rubber ducky, and other things. However, his day is interrupted when he sees a big red dot from a laser light. He follows it but doesn't realize what it is. However, he soon discovers that it's a landing guide for a ship... that lands right on top of him. WALL•E escapes by digging underground, then pops up just in time to see what emerges from the ship. Unfortunately, the clip ended before we got to see just what that was.
The panel then turned to Q&A. Stanton confirmed that there is a live action element involved and humans will be shown in some degree. Ben Burtt wasn't sure if he'd be working on Indiana Jones 4 since the WALL•E schedule was going to overlap with its schedule. WALL•E is his first priority. Thomas Newman, the composer for Finding Nemo, is doing the score.
Take a read youself by clicking here. I'll have more on this event in the coming days. Have a great day!
Update - /film also has their in-depth report from the WALL-E presentation.

7 films are currently in production at Pixar!
AWM says:
"Rydstrom, who came to Pixar to direct a feature whose production is now officially underway (the logline is still secret), started down the traditional Pixar feature path by first tackling a short film. He pitched three ideas and Lifted was the winner."
Also working on the production is Jim Capobianco, story supervisor of Ratatouille at Pixar and Kiel Murray, writer for Cars, is also working on the production. This mentioned over the Screenwriting Expo website...
"Most recently, he was a story supervisor on Pixar's 2007 release, Ratatouille. Jim is currently working on the development of Gary Rydstrom’s original feature film."
We also learn that Ronnie Del Carmen is working in development on Pete Doctor's original feature film. Also, Jason Katz, co-story supervisor on Finding Nemo and Ratatouille is working on Lee Unkrich's original feature film.
So the film that are currently in production at Pixar are...
- "Ratatouille" 2007 - Brad Bird
- "WALL• E" 2008 - Andrew Stanton
- "Toy Story 3" 2010- Lee Unkrich
- "Untitled Gary Rydstrom Feature" 20??- Gary Rydstrom
- "Untitled Brenda Chapman Feature" 20??- Brenda Chapman
- "Untitled Pete Doctor Feature" 20??- Pete Doctor
That's 7! That's about how many Brad Bird said Pixar had in production at WonderCon!
So there you have it!
