Tons of WALL•E News!
First of all the WALL•E soundtrack has a new album cover.
There is a new WALL•E vignette out called WALL•E and the Bouncy Balls. (watch it below)
There is yet another video of the animatronic WALL•E, this time he visited the Your Morning studio (watch this video below as well)
Finding Nemo will air on ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney" Saturday, June 7th from 8:00-11:00 p.m., ET. with a sneek peek of WALL•E during the movie.
Victor Navone tells us at his blog that the Pixar wrap party for WALL•E is tomorrow night! (June 1st)
The GAMES section of the official WALL•E website is now up and running with 2 new games. The games are called Space Escape and WALL•E's Treasure Round•Up.
WALL•E has officially been given a G rating by the mpaa and you heard it here first that WALL•E has an official runtime of 1 hour 37 minutes and 43 seconds.
You also heard it here first that Presto has an official runtime of 5 minutes and 14 seconds.
Once again you heard it here first that instead of getting an Up teaser trailer in front of WALL•E I am told that we will be seeing a teaser trailer for Disney’s Bolt instead. I'm very upset with that.
Thanks for the above video peetah!

Breaking News: New Pixar Films Announced!
Pixar’s release schedule is as follows:
June 27, 2008 – WALL•E (Andrew Stanton)
May 29, 2009 – Up (Pete Docter/Bob Peterson)
October 2, 2009 – Toy Story in 3-D (John Lasseter)
February 12, 2010 – Toy Story 2 in 3-D (John Lasseter)
June 18, 2010 – Toy Story 3 in 3-D (Lee Unkrich)
Summer 2011 – Newt (Gary Rydstrom)
Christmas 2011 – The Bear and the Bow (Brenda Chapman)
Summer 2012 – Cars 2 (Brad Lewis)
From the Academy Award® nominated team of director Pete Docter ("Monsters, Inc.") and co-director Bob Peterson comes "Up," a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) in summer 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer — look "Up."
What happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can’t stand each other? That’s the problem facing Newt and Brooke, heroes of "newt," the Pixar film by seven-time Academy Award® winner for sound Gary Rydstrom, and director of Pixar’s Oscar-nominated short, "Lifted." Newt and Brooke embark on a perilous, unpredictable adventure and discover that finding a mate never goes as planned, even when you only have one choice. Love, it turns out, is not a science.
A rugged and mythic Scotland is the setting for Pixar’s action-adventure "The Bear and the Bow." The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father’s kingdom and her mother’s life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right. Director Brenda Chapman ("The Prince of Egypt," "The Lion King") and the storytelling wizards of Pixar conjure humor, fantasy and excitement in this rich Highland tale. It’s voice talent is as follows: Reese Witherspoon, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson.

Up an "original" Pixar story not retelling of Don Quixote!
“I've just spoken to someone at the Pixar press department (I believe her name was Hillary; she was quite friendly) who told me
that Up's storyline will be "original" and not a version of any previous work.
She did not wish to comment specifically on the story about Up being a retelling of the classic tale Don Quixote, except to say that Pixar was "not responsible" for the story. And not surprisingly, she declined to give me any new details regarding Up.”
Says The Pixar Blog.

Exclusive Interview with Lou Romano!
Today I had the opportunity to exclusively interview Pixar's Lou Romano!
Here is the interview. I hope you enjoy it!
______________________________________
I know you were a Production Designer and the voice of Bernie Kropp on The Incredibles, the voice of Snotrod on Cars, and Production Designer and voice of Linguini on Ratatouille for Pixar. Can you tell me your experience on working on those films?
The Incredibles was the most involving film for me. Artistically it was a very fulfilling experience. Ratatouille was fulfilling from a performance standpoint. My work on Cars was done over one or two days. It was fun to come in and do that very quickly and have the chance to work with Joe Ranft and John Lasseter.
How cool was it to voice Linguini, a main character on Ratatouille?
It has been pretty exciting. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity. Of course, when I started doing the scratch work or, temporary recording, I didn't know I was to be cast at all. I was officially told much later, after having done quite a bit of recording.
What’s your favorite thing about working for Pixar?
Working with so many creative people and being inspired by their work. I'm continually growing and learning new things here.
What’s your favorite Pixar film to date?
I'm torn but my top 2 favorites are the original Toy Story and The Incredibles.
Do you know if Brad Bird’s next film will be for Pixar? I know it’s 1906 and it will be live-action, but what I don’t quite know is if it will be a Pixar film.
I don't know either. Pixar will be involved in some peripheral way but the studio isn't set up as a live action studio. So, Brad will probably work with and through another studio.
Do you know if Andrew Stanton is going to direct A Princess of Mars/John Carter of Mars next for Pixar?
I can't comment on that right now. I'm sorry.
There have been rumors that there’s going to be a Cars 2. What are your comments on that?
I can't comment on that right now, either
What film are you currently working on?
Currently I'm working on Up, which is scheduled to be released in 2009.
I know that you are Art directing Up. How’s that going right now?
It's going well right now. I'm working again with Bryn Imagire, who was the Shading Art Director for The Incredibles. We're working with a very talented group of artists. I'm working on organic environments right now, color design and visual effects concept design.
Are you going to voice a character for Up?
Not that I know of. I did some scratch work for the reels. But, it's far too early to know if it will stick.

What do you guys think about this interview?
We might have more interviews with Pixar employees in the future.
Thanks again Lou!

Lewis, and Romano talk Ratatouille, WALL•E, and Up!
Collider.com had the chance to sit down and talk with a lot of the Ratatouille cast and Producer, but the audio interviews that stood out in my mind were the Brad Lewis and Lou Romano interviews. Take a listen to Brad Lewis's interview here, and listen to Lou's here.
Here are a few facts from WALL-E and Up.
"Warning" may contain spoilers.
WALL-E fact: The first 3rd of WALL-E will have no dialog at all, it's all vocalizations.
Up fact #1: Up mostly takes place in a jungle here on earth.
Up fact #2: Up takes place in the present day, but starts in the past of the main charters life, and then progress to the present day.
Another thing I found interesting is that Pixar took a trip to Venezuela for research on Up.

TIME Reveals Synopsis for Up + More!
Click through to find out!
Anyway, The June 1, 2007 (Vol. 165 No. 25) edition of TIME Magazine has some information on WALL-E, Up and Toy Story 3. It's all under the article Why Pixar is Better, which I posted a few days ago, but it seems to be magazine specific material.
Firstly, WALL-E or Wall*e as TIME prints it. Andrew Stanton calls it "R2-D2 meets City Lights". Also TIME says "Those who remember the 1931 Charlie Chaplin film, about a blind girl wooed by a tramp she mistakenly believes is a rich man, can
transpose the story to a lonely planet and guess from there." Apparently the main roles will be voiced by Ben Burtt (Sound Designer behind Star Wars/Indiana Jones who recently moved to Pixar as reported here)
Now to Up.
"Pete Docter and co-director Bob Peterson are preparing this "coming-of-old-age story" about a seventysomething guy who lives in a house that "looks like your grand-parents' house smelled." He befriends a clueless young Wilderness Ranger and gets into lots of alter kocker altercations. Says Pixar: "Our hero travels the globe, fights beasts and villains and eats dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon."That's the blurb TIME provided. adamelia adds "They say it is about an old man in his seventies who meets a clueless, young jungle scout. These two have some adventures globally in exotic lands...something similar to that."
And now to Toy Story 3.
The Toy Story 3 blurb offers nothing much. It quotes Lee Unkrich saying, as to why another Toy Story...."We got an idea we thought would be really great." Lee Unkrich will be THE director....he co-directed Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo. He says, "We're just starting to write the story"....and confides, "I wake up evey morning hoping for a eureka moment."says Nicholas.
Also each piece is accompianed by a picture. Here are the descriptions courtesy of Nicholas.
The Wall*e film has the robot looking up to the dark space sky, Up has a panoramic shot of what looks like some sort of canyons and trees...on the left side you see very small silhouettes of 2 hikers or just 2 people enjoying the view (one character is older...the other is much younger), and Toy Story 3 is just Woody and Buzz side-by-side (nothing new).I'm going to try and get my hands on a copy of the U.S. June 18 edition of TIME very soon and I suggest you do the same. Thanks again to Nicholas and adamelia for this great news.
